BTS Newsletter July/August 2007
Hello! What a wild summer! That glazed over look on my face is the result of finally keeping up with the program. I think we have our arms around it now. Thank you for your patience with the crowded make up schedule. You all have been SOOOO great about getting those make ups in, even with the limited space. We’ll lighten up here when school starts.

Our first 10 level testing went off without a hitch! We had 14 riders pass their tests and become the first of the “ranked” riders at BTS. Look for our next testing here in September. We expect the last of the patches to arrive this week, so we’ll get those out to those of you who took the time and energy to study hard and pass those tests!
Training Fees
TRAINING FEES are due before the 1st. If you started in the last two months and need to be prorated, shoot me an email and I’ll get that sorted out. I really don’t want to start a late fee, so I am going to increase training to $220 starting August 1, with a $20 discount if you pay before the 1st. (Yes, this is a subversive way of charging a $20 late fee). Those of you that get the OLD discount (you know who you are… cash payers by the 1st) your rate and discount remains the same. If you can’t pay by the 1st for some reason, just let me know! I am having a problem with peeps “forgetting their checkbooks” a lot so I have to do something and this is all I know to do.
Barn Closures
The next scheduled barn closure is Aug 17 for another Sycamore Dressage show, then August 26 for our BTS Show. Please let Meg know if you would like to compete! This will be a blast, and we’ll have our usual picnic during.
BTS In-House Show!
It’s coming next month! Reserve your favorite horse now through Meg by paying the $125 entry fee. This is NON-REFUNDABLE. Email meg@btsetc.com

BTS SNACKBAR is a roaring success as well! Thank you to Meg for keeping us all stocked up with goodies and lunches. Thank you all for your great cooperation by paying those snack-bar bills, huge as some are!
Ruthanna's Little Helpers
BTS HELPERS have saved our collective bacon this year! We’ve had TONS of help for the camps and special events, and this really shows our team spirit. THANK YOU for all who have slaved away, and those who have transported them. Our helpers are becoming so educated and such great horse-people! We love seeing that “sea of green” out there!
Dressage Anyone?
WELCOME TO OUR NEW BTS DRESSAGE COACH! We have taken on board Linda Trimm as our Dressage coach. BTS is working to kick off our Dressage team on July 20 with 4 riders showing. We will be scheduling private lessons and clinics with Linda to help us on our way. See Linda’s bio up on the web here in the next week or so.
Ireland
The annual BTS vacation to Ireland will be Aug 3 – Aug 13. Megan, Amy and Lauren will be giving lessons as usual, however we will not be scheduling make up lessons during this time, nor during our last camp Aug 20 – 24. Meg will also be on vacation while we’re in Ireland, so she will not be available.
