BTS Newsletter September 2007

Hello! What a wild summer! That glazed over look on my face is the result of finally keeping up with the program. I think we have our arms around it now. Thank you for your patience with the crowded make up schedule. You all have been SOOOO great about getting those make ups in, even with the limited space. We’ll lighten up here now that school has started.

Headlines

SCHEDULE CHANGES need to go directly to me at rbridges@btsetc.com. Please do no send them to Meg as she does not have the schedule!

MEG KELLY does: BTS wear orders (shirts, hats, etc), camps, clinics, shows, client list (address changes),

The BTS Camps were a roaring success! See the photos at: www.btscamp.shutterfly.com

10 level testing went off without a hitch! We had 14 riders pass their tests and become the first of the “ranked” riders at BTS. Look for our next testing in October. Applications to test are on the BTS Tackroom door. Fill them out and drop them in the lock box on the side of the tackroom.

TRAINING FEES

Training Fees are due before the 1st of each month. You can mail them to the barn, or make them in person, or drop them off after hours in the mail box outside the BTS tack room. PAYMENTS MADE AFTER THE 1ST WILL BE CHARGED A $20 LATE FEE. **Also note: The Thursday schedule has changed. The only lesson available on Thursday will be 4:30, and there will be no make up lessons on Thursdays. We need a school day for our ponies to keep them up to par!

BTS HELPERS

BTS Helpers have saved our collective bacon this year! We’ve had TONS of help for the camps and special events, and this really shows our team spirit. THANK YOU for all who have slaved away, and those who have transported them. Our helpers are becoming so educated and such great horse-people! We love seeing that “sea of green” out there!

WELCOME TO OUR NEW BTS DRESSAGE COACH!

We have taken on board Linda Trimm as our Dressage coach. We will be scheduling private lessons and clinics with Linda to help us on our way. The first clinic is scheduled for September 29th. This is a two part clinic. Part 1 - 9:30-10:30 “on the ground” lesson in “What is Dressage” – cost $25. Part 2 - 11:00-12:00 dressage riding lesson – cost $50. Total cost for both parts is $75. You can take only Part 1 if you like, but must do both if you’d like the riding lesson. Sign-up by emailing Meg (meg@btstetc.com) – riding space is limited!

JUMPER SHOW!

We have a BTS Jumper show on October 6th! The Jumper show is for all levels, with our “walk trot” level showing against an optimum time. We’ll have divisions for ground poles, cross rails and low fences. Each division will have four classes. Timing for day is TBD. Cost is the same as our quarterly In-house shows ($75 entrance fee/$50 horse use fee). At this point, we need to get an idea of the interest level. See the web site for more information on the BTS Jumper Show. Please email Meg (meg@btsetc.com) if you’re interested in participating. We can only do the show if there’s enough participation – so please email Meg ASAP!

Exciting things in the wind!

Keep an eye on the dry erase board and the upcoming BTS info-easel in the spectator area.
