  • Follow the Sycamore Trails Stables Rules. (they have their reasons)
  • All observers must stay in the observation area. (Yes, this includes parents)
  • Children under the age of 8 must be within arm’s reach of an attending adult at all times. (If we have to grab them, we get to keep them)
  • No friends or family under the age of 18 without an attending adult. (It makes us responsible. Our child-care service rate is $75 an hour. Please make appointment)
  • Do not feed the horses in the cross ties.  (They get jealous and grabby)
  • No visiting dogs in the tacking, observation or barn area. (It distracts the horses/riders and can cause issues with other dogs)
  • Keep arms, legs and cameras out of the arena. (It can distract and spook the horses and riders)
  • Please do not address the arena instructor or any of the riders except in an emergency.  (The instructor will be happy to talk to you after the lesson, and your rider needs to look to us for their guidance)
  • In the event you will be late, call the BRIDGES cancelation number (949) 413-0591. We will make adjustments, if possible, to tack your horse for you**. In the event you arrive more than 10 minutes late without a call, you will have to reschedule your lesson. (after the 10 minute mark we send the horses home or reassign them, and there is not enough time to get ready) **Currently this service is free, however after 1/1/10 there will be a $5 groom charge.
  • BRIDGES riders and helpers (under the age of 18) are to stay in the BRIDGES area and not wander off. (Specific destinations are fine, just don’t make us go looking for you or page you. If you’re here to help, then you need to be nearby.  If you are here for a lesson, you must stay in the BRIDGES area until you are picked up, or in the front office after dark if the BRIDGES staff has gone for the day).
  • No children under the age of 16 left after dark without an attending adult. (Talk to the instructor before the lesson if ride will be late picking up.  There is a front office that is open until 7 where children can stay until then if there is no BRIDGES staff at the back area.)

Sycamore Trails Stables Rules

  • Please do not bring dogs into the stable. Likewise, please do not leave guests under the age of 18 with your student without adult supervision. Visiting children are to remain within arms reach of responsible adult at all times while at the stable, and are not allowed in the saddling area.
  • If it is fun and it doesn't directly involve a horse, it is not allowed at the stable. (i.e. climbing trees, throwing rocks, running, hitting balls,) although sitting quietly under a tree at a picnic table doing your homework is quite okay.
  • Please do not feed the horses unless approved by staff. Some horses can get very greedy!
  • Please do not feed your children (or any part thereof) to our horses. Horses are herbivorous and humans are quite hard to digest. Thank you.
